This one’s for all the dog owners out there whose dogs never tire of playing fetch the ball. It’s usually the poor owner who suffers déjà vu like symptoms when repeating the same move over and over again whilst thinking about what else they could be doing.
Well, thanks to a grandfather, Denny Hamill and grandson Grant Hamills’ team effort; you can finally give your arm a rest as they have come up with a fantastic automatic ball shooting machine which will keep your pet pooch on the run for hours while you…..do something else.
And the inspiration behind this new innovation? It’s the family poodle “Prancer” who apparently is nuts for playing “Fetch” and would constantly beg Grant to play with him, which in turn made it very difficult for Grant to do his homework. That got him thinking about a solution, – an unimposing motorised device that works by dropping balls into a funnel shaped top, which it then launches out of the other side for your dog to fetch. And so was born “iFetch”.
Grant’s grandfather Denny thought it was a genius idea and together they set about making it reality. Months later, they started to test prototypes and followed the process until they finalised what is now the iFetch, which has become a hugely successful pet toy for dogs. If fact it has won numerous awards and enjoyed much media coverage thanks to it’s popularity.
Once your dog has mastered the task of dropping the ball into the funnel shaped top, you can just leave them to do their thing. Here’s the specs:
- Perfect for indoor or outdoor use.
- Launches the ball 10, 20, or 30 feet.
- iFetch throws a ball a variable distance when it is placed in the funnel by the dog or person.
- Launches miniature tennis balls that are 1.5″ (40 mm) in diameter. (THREE miniature tennis balls are included with purchase). NOTE: These are NOT full sized tennis balls!
- Runs on AC Adapter (included) or 6 C-cell batteries (batteries not included).
- Owner supervision is recommended.
If your furry friend is on the larger size, there’s an iFetch for them too ironically called iFetch Too:
- Perfect for indoor or outdoor use.
- Launches the ball 10, 25, or 40 feet. It’s easy to switch between those three distances or select the variable setting to keep your pup guessing.
- The iFetch Too “Tuff” balls are 2.5 inches in diameter. They are felted like tennis balls, but made for dogs and are non-abrasive on their teeth.
- Standard tennis balls work great, and any ball about that size should work.
- The iFetch Too comes with a built-in, rechargeable battery for portability.
- When you purchase the iFetch Too, it comes with three balls and an AC charger for 110 and 220 volts.
That brings us to the price. Here in Europe you can buy iFetch on Amazon UK for £129.99 or the iFetch Too for £190.90 and on Amazon ES, they price in at €159.00
So when you’re ready for a break…invest in an iFetch!
