On 24th July, changes affecting ALL landlines are coming into effect. Calls will only be able to go through the network of the company who is taking care of the line rental.
What the changes mean for landline users:
- The line rental must be with the call provider.
- Using ‘prefixes’ or ‘carrier preselect’ to route your calls through another provider will no longer work – for example, if you have a Movistar line but route your calls through Telitec to take advantage of the better rates, you will no longer be able to do this. Telitec must take care of your line rental for you to use the low rates.
- You will have to pay the rates set by whoever owns the connection – even if they are more expensive.
In short, this means that the only way to keep making calls at the lowest rates is to switch your line rental to the cheapest call provider. And the only way for our clients to keep making their outgoing calls through Telitec is to have their line rental with us immediately.
Switching your landline is easy – just get in touch with us and we’ll do the rest. There’s no need for you to spend your time calling other companies. You also don’t have to worry about losing the quality maintenance or service of the line, as the same standards of care will continue.
We understand that you may have some questions about these changes. If you’d like to switch, or are a Telitec customer and aren’t sure exactly what the status of your line rental is, then get in touch with us and we can clarify it for you.
Telitec also have very competitive call rates to offer to new customers who are worried about the increased costs incurred by these changes. Call us on 902 889 070 or email sales@telitec.net.
