There is a product trending on Kickstarter (an online crowd-funding platform for entrepreneurs) at the moment that… doesn’t make a lot of sense. It’s called Mokase and it doubles as an espresso maker. Yes, really…it will come with coffee cartridges that you plug into the phone case. The case then uses the power from your phone to heat up the coffee, and you’ll get a 25ml shot of hot espresso.
This particular phone case gadget sounds a bit crazy. As The Verge points out in a review, wouldn’t a simple mini-espresso machine make more sense and be more appealing?! If it sounds a bit crazy for you, there are still plenty of slightly off-the-wall phone gadgets that you might love (these aren’t sold by Telitec – we just think you might like them!)
Plug-in Fans
This is one to consider for the summer! There are plenty of brands that do a USB phone fan that plugs into the charging port and uses the phone’s power – search Google or Amazon and you’ll find a mix of cheap novelty ones or more robust one that may actually go some way to cooling you down.
‘Moai Robot’ Fish Tank Cleaner
This gadget isn’t out yet but it’s reached it’s target on Kickstarter so will be available soon. As far as weird phone gadgets go this one is actually pretty amazing! It’s a little robot that you connect to your WiFi then sync up to your smartphone. Just stick the Moai onto the inside of your fish tank and then switch on the camera through your phone. You can view live, record, and take pictures of what’s happening inside your fish tank from anywhere…that’s not the coolest bit though, as the robot also cleans your aquarium! You can schedule cleaning times in advance or turn it on when you want to, from anywhere, using just your phone.
