Make A Smile are launching their Christmas Bag Appeal again this year.
It’s been a tumultuous year for the youngsters in the failed Emaus group. In June the group was taken over by a new company who provide the children with the necessary basics like food and clothing. The great news is that the children have been able to stay in their ¨family groups¨and the majority of the carers kept their jobs, however ‘basic’ means ‘basic’ and Christmas goodies are not in the budget.
This year’s Christmas Bag Appeal is as necessary as ever to give the children a gift, new pjs, personal hygiene products, school supplies and of course some treats. Make a Smile have designated several drop-off-points for donations, including the Telitec office in Moraira. We’d love to hand over bulging bags of gifts again this year so please dig deep and donate whatever you can!
The appeal will run up to the 5th of January, and anything left over will be used for birthday presents during the year.
