Navigating the world has become much easier with Google Maps. Providing us with info on how to drive, walk or via public transport move from one location to another.
Here are just some of the new, re-vamped or hidden tools & functions you can try out.
Multiple location stops
Enter your starting point and where you want to end, for any other locations, click on the 3 dots in the top right hand corner and select ¨add stop¨ and simple enter the destination

Google Maps now support off-line. Simple go to the location you want to be at, tap the bottom of the screen and download (storage permitting)
Ride sharing, with options like Uber you can click the little figure of a person hailing a taxi and you can get a list of all ride shares, times and costs.
Time Travel with Google Maps. Over the years Google have amassed imagery and now have made it so you can see the changes over the years simply by clicking the stopwatch. This does depend on areas/locations.
Create your own street view. There are a number of cameras & soft ware supported by Google that will allow people to create and upload their own street views.
Lazy searches. Try searching ¨cafe¨or maybe ¨bookstore¨ This will show you all the cafes or bookstores in your location
P Logo
You may find a P logo on the map, this can tell you if Parking is easy, medium or hard, helping you decide if an alternative mode of transport is the better option.
Remember where you Park. Tap the Blue location dot and choose ¨Save your Parking¨ multi story parking is no longer a problem.
Customize your Vehicle Icon. Choose what car shows up on your navigation in iOS, just tap the vehicle icon and choose from the options.
That little man i the corner
I love this one, click on and hold him, then simple drop him on to the map to give you a street view.
Off-Roading. Google has been experimenting with captured off-road images with a program called ¨Treks¨Take a walk through the Pyramids of Giza or the Canals of Venice. search in google for the different Treks.

This is a new personalized feature by letting you follow cities and neighbourhoods for latest news and updates. It will also show you ¨Your Match¨ of places you may want to try.
