What to do before 2020 is Over? Starting 2021 with a new, fresh and a little more cleaner look always helps me start the New Year.
One thing I like to start with is having a good clear out! I am not talking about a deep clean or painstakingly going through everything.
Front Room or Living Room
I stand in my front room and look, any nik-naks on shelves I dont want anymore, maybe change a photo or 2, a quick look in the draws on the side unit, binning any odd bits and pieces I have collected over the last year. A cable from my old mobile phone, some receipts, a birthday card I forgot to send! Plus a few other bits!
Some new cushion covers and throw, gives my room an updated look for mimium effort. Plus a little less clutter!
Bedroom
Hour and 30 mins
Open wardrobe and look at each top, dress, trousers and if not worn this year, it goes! (yes, you all have some items of clothing you have not worn this year!) Same with shoes, bags, make up and creams!
Within an hour and half, I was done!
Kitchen
I am not talking about deep cleaning your cupboards and oven here, just a general sort out! Before 2020 is over!
A bit of a shuffle around with the tins, some new tea towels and a new wooden spoon!
Sort through the draws and throw out the old manuals, warranties for old equipment. Plus the half burnt birthday cake candles, as I know I will buy new ones anyway!
Bathroom
Finally the bathroom. I don´t know why and hope I am not the only one! But for some reason I end up with several bottles of shampoo and conditioner, body wash, lotions and creams (thinking I may have an addiction!) Plus I need to make room for the new stuff I got for Christmas!
All this has taken just over half a day and now my home feels decluttered, a little more tidy, I feel ready for my New Years Resolutions. Just need to figure on what they will be……
