Hey Google! Hey Google! OK Google! GOOGLE!!! Communication with your smat Speakers can be great but sometimes it is like you speak like an alien! “Sorry, I don’t understand.” We have all heard that responce!
Setting up voice activations like scheduled commands and home and away awareness does help.
It may be that you are speaking to one smart speaker and a different one in another room entirely tries to respond. Do not worry, here a some ways to fix this.
Wrong Room, Wrong Speaker problem
1. Open the Google Home app and tap the device icon for the speaker that’s giving you grief (if it’s more than one, simply repeat this process until you’ve got everything dialed in perfectly).
2. Tap the gear icon for settings in the upper right corner, then scroll down to Device features and tap Audio, then, at the very bottom of that screen, tap “Hey Google” sensitivity.
3. Now, drag the slider higher to make Google Home more likely to hear your voice and lower to make it less likely.
“Sorry, I don’t understand,”
First, try repeating your comand, it maybe that it just didn´t hear you correctly.
1. Open the Google Home app and tap your personal icon in the upper right corner.
2. Tap Assistant settings then tap Assistant on the menu bar at the top.
3. Tap Voice Match then either set up a new profile or retrain your current one.
4. Follow the prompts and read whatever the app tells you to say in whatever voice you want Google Home to associate with your account.
Device names should all sound different.
Time to get a little creative, dont just pick speaker 1, 2, 3.
