What’s new with iPhone 6S
3D Touch
In form factor and design the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is the same as its predecessor. The main feature change in the 6S model which is backed deep into Apple’s software is the 3D Touch feature which enables you to achieve a different response from the software depending on how hard and for how long you press the display. Despite being a major change it remains to be seen how developers react to this feature over the next few months but for the meantime it looks like a great new feature.
If you press hard on the display the iOS will pop up an email message or playlist into the foreground. If you hold on an icon with force, it displays options without even opening an app. With feedback from the new, subtler Taptic Engine you’ll have an entirely new sense of using the product which is genuinely responsive to the touch.
Camera Evolution
The camera has been upgraded with a 12 megapixels sensor which is capable of capturing 4K videos. This makes it possible to shoot Live Photos, which record movement before and after pressing the shutter and shows them to as scrollable images. In addition, there is also a new 5 megapixels Face Time HD selfie camera.
Boosted Performance
According to Apple you will receive a new 64 bit A9 chip which is said to give you 70% faster CPU and 90 % faster GPU Performance.
The casing is now made of 7000 series aluminium for a stronger, non bendy frame and includes a new rose gold finish. Improvements have also been made to the touch ID sensor which is said to be faster at recognizing your fingerprints. Enhanced LTE and WiFi speeds while maintaining the same core battery and display tech performance.
