Fancy travelling at 500mph down a tube in a floating pod suspended by magnets?
Well, we just got one step closer to that becoming a reality with the latest successful test on the Hyperloop track. After much testing, a full-scale pod just travelled along it at 192mph, and that was just on the first attempt!
If you haven’t heard of Hyperloop, it’s transport system that’s being developed in the Nevada desert. It involves sending pods through a vaccum, suspended using magnets, at extremely high speeds – if successful the founders say it could go up to 500mph, meaning it could go between London and Edinburgh in around 50 minutes.
